18S1_Project 10 - Bottle Soaker

The Bottle Soaker is a device intended for home-brewers to wash, soak and dry bottles during the sanitisation stage of the brewing process. The main method of bottle sanitisation required brewers to put their hands into the hot solution to sink the bottles one by one. This device allows the user to sanitise 24 bottles at a time without getting their hands wet; this speeds up the process and also functions as a free standing drying rack for the next stage of the brewing process. This is particularly useful as brewers recycle used bottles. Two handle plungers allow the user to adjust the angle of the bottles, creating the correct angle for water to enter or exit the bottles during the sanitisation stage. A typical long neck bottle weighs around 1.2 kg full of liquid while the rack device is designed to hold 2 kg bottles.
