18S1_Project 02 - EZ LIFT Bin
Maneuvering a garbage bin, especially when it’s full, can be a difficult and hazardous task. The action of tilting and holding the bin in order to get the bin onto its two wheels requires an effort that not all members of the population can accomplish easily, like the elderly. To solve this problem, EZ LIFT Bin was created to assist tilting the bin and keeping it in the tilted position, by engaging and having the bin rest on a third wheel. The mechanism is easily activated with a foot pedal, located at the rear of the bin. It is our belief that this product will allow the elderly their independence, and not rely upon family, friends or nursing aids.
