17S1_Project 5 - Low Cost Racing Simulator Frame
There is little innovation in this product because it is not convincing that there is a market need for a low cost racing simulator frame. The simplicity of the design with no moving components has enabled the students to score well in feasibility easily. The design concept is straight forward and students were able to show through stress analysis that the thickness of the proposed frame members are strong enough to support the loading. However, some of the analysis could have been better presented. The group made the common mistake of presenting finite element analysis without clearly showing the results. One thing to note that is highly commended is that students put in the effort to generate an aesthetically presentable and appealing product. There is very little potential for this product to be extended for commercialisation.
