The art of making a perfect cup of coffee process relies on multiple factors such as the grind size, grind amount, bean quality, tamping pressure, and milk frothing. The tamping pressure is highly regarded as one of the most important factors to achieve the perfect cup of coffee. Most coffee tamps are generally handheld and made of metal. The purpose of these tamps is to evenly distribute the coffee in the portafilter, as well as to compress the grinds. When brewing an espresso, the main objective is to pass hot water through compressed coffee grinds to correctly extract the flavours within its oils. The key value proposition is to provide the means of controlling and adjusting coffee tamping pressures to create consistent coffee for amateur and inexperienced coffee brewers.
