17S1_Project 4 - The Coffee Sleeve

The students presented a coffee sleeve with a reusable lid. According to the report, surveys were conducted to demonstrate that this concept is well received by the market given that the lids cannot be secured on the paper cup at times. Unfortunately, the ideas to make this product was poor and not feasible. For example, magnets were proposed to secure the lid on the sleeve and this is a poor concept because the use of metal parts in this product is not feasible. No clear solutions were provided to make the sleeve and magnets or bolts and nuts were proposed to connect the ends of the sleeve. Nevertheless, the concept is potential to attract external stakeholders as a coffee shop mechandise after the design was improvised by the teaching staff.
